Learn what you can do to make Berks County greener and healthier through simple, everyday choices.

Instead of cut flowers or candy, give your sweetheart something that will last much longer! For about the cost of a dozen roses, you can fund the planting of one native tree in Berks County – a gift that will keep on giving year after year. Plus your sweetheart will receive a one-year membership to the Conservancy and plantable paper wildflower leaves for their own backyard.
Your $40 donation will support your choice of the Berks Conservancy Plant a Tree program which funds our ongoing efforts to restore native trees in Berks County. When you make a gift to the Berks Conservancy before February 7, 2012, we'll mail you a beautiful card that you can give to your Valentine letting them know you've supported the parks on their behalf. If you'd like us to mail the card directly to the recipient, please put their name and address in the "Special Instructions" box on the order form.
Trees and plant life absorb carbon dioxide to
produce oxygen, improve air quality, conserve water, and provide
habitat for wildlife, therefore, reducing our carbon footprint.
The
Berks Conservancy is committed to planting wildflowers and trees in
Berks County. All wildflower seeds will be spread along streams and
nature preserves. All trees will be planted in Berks County; in our
towns, parks and schoolyards, and along streams where they will
attract birds, improve air & water quality, reduce soil erosion, add
beauty to our surroundings, and contribute to our quality of life.
Due to the nature of this work, we don’t mark trees or designate
specific trees in dedication.
